Up and Running/Walking

Oh my gosh it has been some time since I did this!

Yesterday I went back and read a couple of blogs I had written- it was fantastic! But at the same time it was so shit scary realising how much life has changed in not such a long length of time!
I have made a drastic change from number one party animal to Mum that quietly sink a few bottles of wine every now and then! It would be a lot more frequent if I hadn't developed a hideous allergy to wine! I still drink it but OH MY the hangover!!!! Not sure if its the sulphur in the wine- or that flipping thing called age!

So seeing as I don't have the best imagination I have decided to steer my blogging away from those big city lights-mmmmmm #harare! But actually nothing much has changed in that sense- kids are still getting tanked at the Roof! Just not with my awesomeness!!!
I am now going to impress you with my stories of being a mother in this lovely place!

Basically I have gone from entertaining meatheads and meathead behaviour to being one of those people that fuel the arguments on Bhamba Zonke about the ridiculous behaviour!! JOKING!!! But you get the message right!

Watch this space!! :)

Peace out! x

Innocent minds!

So I told you all about the Bulawayo polocrosse tournament last weekend- apparently it was brilliant for some but a few people enjoyed more than the others! The Grooms!

The grooms love these away tournaments- they get to see other places, get more money, food and of course they get to spend quality time with their shamwari's! Basically early in the morning we load up the lorries with all the kit and horses and off they go, the grooms resting on the cattle side (It scares the shit out of me I must say)- but they have smiles on their faces the whole way.
They then have the actual tournament which must be quite hard work- washing, feeding, grooming all whilst chatting and then the journey home!

On this particular weekend I fear one groom may have got a ma-ussive bonsela because his horse did exceptionally well- and as one might do, chose to buy enough beer to almost kill a lorry load of grooms! They arrive back home on Monday afternoon absolutely shitfaced! I had been horse sitting my mums other steed for the weekend so I had the honor of witnessing the shitfacedness first hand!
You know when someone just cannot operate their mouth, legs or arms- well he was like that- all whilst trying to act sober! My mother was so stressed he was going to fall under the horses feet which would have been a disaster to say the least! He didn't but he did however go into a small coma with the horse box door locked from the inside!
This may not be as funny for you as you don't know my mum- but she almost had to bang the door in before dearest Tendy came around! Just the picture of her banging that door, cheeks shaking makes me laugh out loud!

Tendy has since had his privileges taken away- and no doubt has had to deal with a killer hangover!!! But this is my favorite:

Tendy: Madam I am becoming religious. The religious guys did not even drink!

Oh the mouth of a groom! It's not like 'Madam I am going to give up drinking!' No no in this country you have to be religious to not drink!!!

Hope you had a good hump day!! I am saving my energy for the golf day tomorrow , the comedy show tomorrow night and the Barefoot Beer Fest on Saturday!

PS please don't forget to pooh before you go to the beerfest- we need to avoid toilet blockages!!

Need something special?

Once apon a time there lived a little princess- she was a hardworking one though- one with a dream but no wishes- she had to make it happen! The little princess worked day and night to achieve her dream and slowly but surely she is getting there- THE END! (Nooot)

Ok so the little princess met a little prince- it was perfect- he was as hard working as her and loved the world of fashion too! It was so perfect in fact that the two got married!!! They have the most magical little workshop outside Harare- a team- 4 strong- manage to produce all of what I am about to show you!

Ok thats the one I dream about like- all the time! They are so stunning- and the inside is just as fab as the outside!

They have the most stunning colours- my sling will be a purple one! :)

This little prince and princess have the most amazing design sense- how stunning are these bags- they should be on the red carpet!

So if you don't have a Tana bag- go get one! And if you are oversea's email me zimsocialite@yahoo.com and we can see what we can do!

PS 14 Aintree Road, Highlands, Harare.

In a rush much??

I rush- I rush everywhere! But on this occasion I was not rushing because I wanted to, I was rushing because I had to- I don't do being late- specially not for meetings! So there I was hurtling down Borrowdale road- shiiiit- speed trap- screech my wheels (Which is not obvious at all) and tootle innocently passed the cops! Vooooooooooooooooooommmmmm I'm off again! I get to Churchill and hook a left, and this is what i see:
Aaaaahhhh balls!! You know sometimes you get these little cars that can actually shunt! Not this little one- not at aaalll!!!

Oh wait- this was fast for this little bugga- shortly after this he screeched his wheels for about a 5x5cm 'pothole'!
You have no idea how relived I was to reach the new round about! I undertook him- not that thats hard- he could have comfortably traveled on the cycle track!

Have a good day!

Drive-ing me Crazy!!!

People I live outside of the city- I do this because its peaceful and I have lots of place for my horsie's! But do the pro's outweigh the cons? Mmmmmmmmmm- not so sure! I have a drive- lets call it The Drive every frigging morning! It's only about 25k's... (Not so bad hey?) Well it takes me 45 minutes to an hour! Averaging an amazing speed of +/- 25/30 k/h!! Sometimes I scream, sometimes I cry and sometimes I sit in a haze of my own smoke trying to calm myself down (before I personally throw cars off the road- I have had the offer before) But in any case- I have taken it upon myself to put an end to the unruly behavior on the roads! (So far I have one accomplice- but we only meet on the road every now and then- My Best Road Friend- I like him- he drives a nice big Nissan and basically reads my mind!) See 'our' plan below:

So when I do happen to meet up with MBRF we are like the A Team! Swerving from side to side- hooting- and much much more! Its fabulous- its so sad when we go on our separate paths after the roundabout! Long faces, a meek toot toot and a thumbs up! I don't know what we would do if the taxi's took a stand because he looks about 4ft tall behind that wheel!

Now you have more insight on why I am a bit 'crazy'! So all of you who can jump on a tube- read a book whilst going to work- count yourselves lucky!
:)

Gone are the slim Zim days!

Oh my oh my! This is the end! The end of the skinny Zimbo days- the end of the 'Ahhhh look at this- I want to live in SA/UK/AUS!' It is the dawn of a new era!!! (Lion King music) There is a new Spar..... (Drum roll) Its called ---- THE BRIDGE:
It opposite OG's sports club so its easy enough to stop by to get some treats!!
Ok so my phone doesn't take the best photo's but let me explain! In there, there is cream filled cones- chocolate or vanilla- ring dognuts- dinki donuts- there's pie stands- cakes stands! (Its all to much- I am about to faint just thinking it!)

Ok here's the health section- very nice, very nice- but not nearly as exciting as the pastry sections!
Oils oils oils- wtf!! I thought there was just cooking oil- in the big 2 litre container!
Kind of like those oils. (That was so not on purpose) Here I just wanted to show you how lovely and full the isles are- if you stare into the distance you will also see there is a little colcom promo going on! :)
When I downlaoded my pics I lost the most important one of all!! They have Ghost pops!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I had proof! :( I will have to try again!

PS: Their pies are awesome- not the usual Zim pastry and gravy! There actually have some nyama too! The melon was also delish but next time I will definitely get something more mouthwatering!

Happy to be home.....

Ok so no offense to the Zimbo’s that aren’t living in the mother land- but lets be serious with all the politics and all that goes on here- Zim still feels like the safest place in the world! My heart bleeds watching what is happening everywhere else- but it makes me really appreciate being here! And seemingly when the world ends- it will be one of the few safe havens! (Way to deep)
Now for a bit of a laugh- I went into a house today to get some business cards printed and it made my whole day, my stomach was laughing so hard but I had to keep a straight face! So you walk in and there in the middle of the lounge- next to the table is a giant albino tiger (the teddy bear type), green carpets and red curtains and snoopy the dog ornaments! I LOVE it!
